Customizing Type in Photoshop
Step one
Open a new document (8 x 10 inches) filled with black
Step Two
Set the foreground Color to Gray. Choose a 200pt font (or larger) Mason Serif, or Trajan Pro. For this example type the Word "Rome"
Step Three
In the layers palette, select the Type Layer
Option 1: Menu Layer > Type > Create Work Path
Option 2: Right Click (PC) or Control Click (Mac) on the Type Layer. Choose from the popup menu "Create Work Path"
Step Four
Delete the type layer and create a new blank layer. You'll now see the vector "path"
Step Five
Zoom in on the lower part of the "R", the descender.
Choose the Direct Selection tool from the tool bar. (The white Arrow).
Click on the bottom point (hold down the mouse button (left)) and drag the descender under neath the other letters.
Take your time to make the curves smooth...
(add Points). If you need to you can add some points using the pen tool
Step Six
To make the path a selection press the keyboard keys
Command + Return (Mac)
Control + Enter (PC)
To fill the selection with the foreground color (Gray) Press
Option + Delete (Mac)
Alt + Backspace (PC)
and deselect (Menu: Select > deselect)
Step Seven
In PSE there is a limited type style Dialogue box
Menu Layer > Style
IN PS
In the layer's palette at the bottom click on the fx icon.
In the fx popup menu Click on Bevel and Emboss
In the Dialogue box "Structure" Choose Style: Inner Bevel
Increase Depth and Size (move the sliders) until you see a raised center in the font.
In the Dialogue box "Shading"
Turn on (check): anti-aliasing
Click on the Gloss Contours to popup the Contour "picker"
Choose one with 2 "bumps" for a metallic look. See Below
Step Eight
Click on Color Overlay (left Column)
Choose a warm Gold color
Select Blend Mode > "Overlay" in the drop down menu on the right
You are Done!

The background for adding a "Product"
Step one
Open a new document (8 x 10 inches) filled with black. Add a blank layer
Step two
Select the Elliptical marque tool. Draw an horizontal ellipse that extents outside the borders of the page.
Step Three
Menu
Select > Transform
Move the cursor out side the bounding box uinril you see the bent arrow. Click and drag so that the oval is at a diagonal. Press the return/enter key to lock-in the change. Don't deselect yet!
Step Four
Choose red as the foreground color. Fill the oval. Now Deselect
Step Five
Choose Menu
Filter > Blur >Gaussian Blur...
Setting around 230 pixels
Click Okay
Step Six
Load the "Product" for display
I didn't put in a link for the product because the product to display is up to you... You might have a photo of your own jewelry. I found an item on the internet doing a search in google using keyword:

choose what you want! Have fun!
You'll need to make that "object" presentable Make the background transparent, add a drop shadow and use the move tool to add it to your display page...
